Show them how to let go of that which keeps them from feeling limitless and powerful and go beyond the mind’s boundaries to meet themself.

Enable.

Applicable to Life

Beyond just lessons for the yoga studio, the course will:

  1. Provide students with Meditation Techniques as a way to improve their Lifestyle by focusing on what is relevant. Meditation can improve life quality by teaching us how to be fully alert, aware, and alive. It is a celebration of the self.
  2. Reveal how to become a green yoga teacher.
  3. Deal with stress through conscious movements and other techniques, which will enhance participant's physical health and emotional well-being.
  4. Help students find and align to their life’s mission.
  5. Encourage participants to spread the essence of this work into the world by bringing it into different areas like yoga studios, homes, schools, hospitals, prisons, business and so on.

Expand one's Self-Awareness

Veda Ela’s Restorative Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training doesn’t just improve participant's personal yoga practice and yoga teachings. It also helps them expand awareness, discover their dreams and broaden their focus to include the environment and it’s creatures.

These are essential elements to embodying yoga on and off the mat. After all, as yoga means union, we must join Body, Mind and Spirit with Mother Earth.

Though not religious, the work is spiritual.

What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative yoga is an oasis in our active and often chaotic lives. It nourishes and rests the body, soothes the incessant mind, reduces anxiety and relaxes the nervous system. Through it, you’ll discover the path to your true self and infuse your life with energy and clarity.

Yin/Yang Aspect

Restorative Yoga is a Yin (feminine/passive) form called the “yoga of Being”, which opposes yet balances the Yang style (masculine/active) practice.

The Practice

The Restorative Yoga poses are held for several minutes at a time and supported with blankets, blocks, bolsters, and other props. This makes them ideal for releasing deeply held tension, freeing blocked energy, and cultivating mindfulness.

Healing Properties

Restorative asanas help reduce the fight-or-flight response; thereby lowering adrenaline levels as well as other body-taxing hormones and harmful toxins. This restores the internal hormonal balance and boosts the immune system.

Restorative Yoga focuses on the nervous system. By practicing it regularly, we help the nervous system to escape the “flight” or “fight” mode which brings it back into balance and bolsters our well being.

Who is this course for?

The Restorative Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training isn’t just for yoga teachers or people currently taking part in a Yoga Teacher Training. It is also highly relevant for body workers, therapists, and experienced yogis looking to change and reset their lives.

Do note, this training is not for beginners. It expects a certain level of experience from participants without which students might struggle to get the most from the training.

Powerful Tools

The use of asana, pranayama, conscious movement, music, meditation techniques, Self-Enquiry and tools from therapy to still the mind. Restorative Yoga both prepares you for Meditation and IS a meditation technique in itself.

Safe Spaces

How to create safe spaces. Here, participants can be themselves, share, and ask for and receive support as they heal, open up and express themselves.

Self-inquiry

To interweave Self-inquiry into your yoga practice through the Zen Koan “Who I am?”. This will heighten your awareness of the difference between personality and your true nature.

Focus

Ways of slowing down the frantic mind, so it will be easier to stay focused and present. After this course, you’ll be able to listen to the Body’s voice, surrender to the pose and accept the present moment as is.

Limitless

That spiritual expansion has no limits. Experience the life-changing effects of integrating these beliefs into your Being. Learn how to live life in a higher vibration through awareness, acceptance of oneself and others and taking care of planet Earth.

Holding Space

How to hold space; for yourself and for your students. By simply being present, listening without judgement, and being silent, practitioners can access the true nature and freedom that lies within us all.

Certification

This is a 100-Hour Yoga Alliance certified Training which counts towards continuing education hours with the Yoga Alliance International (YACEP). The participant gets a certificate after the completion of the “Fundamentals 4” module.
