Workshops deepen your practice and might have a profound influence in your personal and professional life. They are an inspiration to use the tools of Yoga for your own growth and expand the horizon also off the mat where yoga really happens.
They combine the use of Asana practice, Meditation techniques, Free Movement, Dance, Therapy, talks on the subject, and Self-Enquiry.
“Yang tissues should be exercised in a Yang way and Yin tissues should be exercised in a Yin way. Muscles are Yang, bones and connective tissue are Yin. Yang muscles should be exercised with rhythm and repetition. Connective tissue or bone should be exercised with long periods of stasis or stillness”
—Paul Grilley
This workshop combines Yang, Yin-Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Free Flow movement.
Tell me more!Restorative “yin” Yoga is the counter-cultural experience of simply “being” and forms the bridge between “asana” and “meditation” It is the polar opposite to the dynamic flowing classes (“yang” style) which at the same time complements them.
Restorative yoga uses props like pillows, bolsters, blankets and other supports to make the body comfortable during the poses.
By focusing on breath and working through areas of the body that habitually hold tension you’ll release deeply held stress and prepare yourself for meditation.
This practice is a great choice for everybody. It is particularly well suited for those with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, muscular injuries and weight issues. It is also for yoga practitioners, beginners to advanced who need to recuperate from other demanding yoga practices.
